WW1 Family member honoured

I just heard last night that the village of Coullemont in France is to name a new street after my Great Uncle. Sgt Robert Hendrie MM & Bar is the sole WW1 war grave in the village, he died in the last months of the war by falling down a well while returning to his billet. He had made it almost all the way through, won two Military Medals and died in an accident while on rest leave probably coming back from the pub!

Of you are in the Arras / Albert area visit Coullemont and...

RUE DU SERGENT HENDRIE

Congrats!

What a way to go after all that. :(

Guess that is a new meaning for the term "getting sloshed"...

Waiting for "someday" will leave you on your deathbed wondering why you didn't just rearrange your priorities and enjoy the time you had, instead of waiting for a "better" time to come along...
