Any T&TTT Kilt Campers?

Postby Alfred » Sun Mar 25, 2018 3:48 pm

Hi y’all,

Question that speaks to a mash-up of my interests, any kilted campers in the group?

I have the genes to justify it, but climbing out of my teardrop in the morning, may prove to be unsightly for my fellow campers.

I don't know of any, but around my neck the woods, pardner, you'd better be 'totin a caber and playing George Strait on your bagpipe, to be wearing a "skirt". Just kidding, I once knew a caber-tossing dude, and he wasn't one to mess with... whether wearing kilt or jeans. I have a little Scotch-Irish blood, not much, so I'm simpatico with the customs, if not an adherent.

Chesapeake Bay TearJerkers have an annual "Kilts in the Wind" gathering right around St Patricks Day every year. It was last weekend, so I don't have our current picture yet, but this is one from a few years ago (I'm second from the left). Right now I have two Utilikilts, and am hoping to bring back a kilt from Scotland this summer while visiting some family over there.

"Many have been kilt for callin' it a skirt!" ;)

(by the way, nice Coleman collection in the background.... I've got quite a few myself)

Awesome! Chesapeake, VA is about 6hrs from Asheville, NC. Maybe I can hook-up the Weekender and join in next year!

I have an Irish Tartan SportKilt, which I love, but I’m thinking of getting a UTKilt/Utility Kilt!
