solar disconnect breaker

Postby yycwrangler » Sat Apr 27, 2024 8:34 pm

Hi folks

Looking to install solar on my cargo trailer. I have 4....100watt panels. I have attached the info from the bottom of the panels for reference. I want to put a breaker between the PV's and MPPT. My limited knowledge prevents me making a decision of what size of breaker and I'm hoping someone may be able to help me..Running the 4 panels in series. Thanks in advance

I looked on my system and I have a 30 amp breaker located in the positive line coming from the panels and in between panels and the Victron MPPT. I have 2 100 watt panels.... so you'd have to do the calculations to see if using 4 100 watt panels might change the breaker size you use.
