How many plugins are enough?

Anything electric, AC or DC

How many plugins are enough?

Postby jdarkoregon » Wed Dec 20, 2006 2:04 am

I'm trying to figure out how many AC and DC plugins to put in my tear. Can some of you who have camped in your tears give me your suggestions and observations.

How many and where would you suggest I put.

I'm having a Microwave, and maybe a TV, but otherwise would just be thankful for your input

Thanks, John

I have a GFIC plug in the galley and two AC plugs inside.
Could most likely get away with one in the galley and one inside.

DC ... one plug inside and one outside in the galley.

Splitters can be attached for the DC and an extension cord for the AC if needed.

So 2 each AC and DC outlets will work most of the time. In my opinion~

I'm with Steve. I have one 120v and one 12v in both the cabin and galley.

On the AC side, I have a GFCI outlet that the air conditioner and battery charger are plugged into. I have another one that the microwave is plugged into (those are hidden). I have a pair in the galley and a pair in the cabin. On the DC side, I have a pair of power ports in the galley and a pair in the cabin.

Honestly, except for one of the 12V ports in the cabin, I've never used them. I run an extension cord from the power pole and use that.

I have 2 12v ports, one in the cabin and one in the galley, and for 110v I have one under the galley for the microwave and converter, one behind the lower door for any stuff I need to plug in by the galley (blender, etc.), and one in the cabin. That one usually gets used for the electric blanket when it gets cold, that heats the cabin up nice, and occasionally to charge the cell phone. I use the 12v for the TV.

Perfect, thanks!!! I had tentatively thought of a pair of DC and a pair of AC in both the galley and the sleeping area, I think I will go with that.

Thanks for the help
