WFCO andc battery gas questions.

Postby Tripmaker » Thu Apr 26, 2007 11:28 am

First I have installed my converter as shown in the picture but have since installed a 3" vent for cooling in that panel on the right. I notice that the converter does generate a small amount of what I'll call warmth as opposed to heat. Do you guys think the vent is enough to keep it from overheating?

I'm also thinking about moving the battery from the tongue to the galley to reduce tongue weight, which is now about 165 lbs. My concern is gassing from the battery. I have an Eveready group 27 combo deep cycle / marine battery. How much concern should I have about gassing and how should I vent it to prevent a problem?

Thanks
Jim

I started with nothing and still have most of it left.

...yes, venting the battery is something that needs to be addressed...the simplest method would be to get a vented battery box like this one Image (click the pic)

...I have come to believe that, conflict resolution, through violence, is never acceptable.....................mj
