Champion Generator 3500W, anyone using one?

Postby Darren » Fri Jun 22, 2007 9:47 am

I know it's a little big for the teardrop but the specs look really good and it has got some really good reviews on rv.net. I found them online for $299 and free shipping. Thanks.

edit: The shipping was free for items under 20 lbs. It's costing me $42 to ship, still not bad.

Check out this thread for the 1200W one I got. The only bad thing I can add after having it for a few months is that it leeks a little oil.

Thanks. If that's the only problem I'd say it was a good choice.

Ordered one last night and it should be here on Tuesday. :)

Test ran the generator today. It kept the trailer pretty frosty with the 5000 btu window unit and barely stumbled when I kicked the compressor on. As far as noise level it was slightly quieter than the 6500 watt Honda I was next to last weekend and very much louder than the 2000 watt Honda another friend had. All in all I'd say for $340 shipped it's a great generator. Time will tell how it holds up.

Good luck with the new toy. Check out my album for how I mounted it's little bro.
