Lighting Question

Postby Classic Finn » Tue Jul 24, 2007 6:57 am

I have a question... pertaining to the lighting.. whats the best way of getting all these lights to align up properly...

I dont want to have one lower than the other ....

Im working on the back lighting which will be all in the hatch..Looks like Ive got all kinds of space on the hatch too so I was thinking of installing an additional brake light (led) bar on it as well. Sort of dress it up at the same time.

Heikki, if your roof/hatch junction is square/plumb, I'd 'spot' one light where you want it to be, make a mark there, then measure from the top of the hatch to that mark, measure from top again to the other edge of the hatch, & space your lights equi-distance along that horizontal line. As for the side marker lights, measure up from the bottom edge of sidewalls & space light(s) appropriately. May not be the best/approved method but it worked for me ;)

Harvey Thank You

Yes the hatch is plumb after a few tries...success.. :) :)

If your way worked for you, I,ll sure thankfully follow your method..

By the way your tear really looks Finntastic..

I still need to decide if I want to add the Ol Time Warning Reflectors or should I go and get the Led Kind that are new.. I cant really stand these things but have to havem so ... And on either side..
