Saw this at cnn.com and bbc.com about solar panels.

From the article....A new way of capturing the energy from the Sun could increase the power generated by solar panels tenfold, a team of American scientists has shown.

Interesting, and I see some potential there, but I don't see where a tenfold increase is possible or claimed. After all, existing panels are better than 10% efficient, and ten times that would mean getting more power out (as electricity) than comes into the panel (as light), which of course is not possible.

From the article:

The MIT team believes it could improve existing panels by 50%.

Even a 50% improvement would be quite useful.
