Solar cooler/refrigerator

Rather expensive but essentially what a couple of us do with solar panel and a Waeco/Dometic/Engal 12v refrigerator. Nancy was not happy that I spent "that much money" on a used Waeco but now has come around to not having to worry about ice and not having to fish food out of melt weather.

In addition to being expensive, it weighs 55 lbs empty. And you have to drag it around to keep it in the sun......

Just sayin'

So ShadowCatcher are you joking about buying $1200 fridge ? those 6 little cells won't light my 1AH iphone ?
Besides if you take this on the beach - all the sand & salt water is gonna burn out your compressor in 1 trip,
I would never drag my 63Q ARB down to the beach.
but the idea is not bad for the "UBER - STINKING- RICH" to carry around in their lambo.

OTTCT I achieved essentially the same result with a 185W solar panel and a Waeco refrigerator and ya I am at about $1000 for both the used panel and the used refrigerator and solar controller, but then lots of left over current for the TV lights sat radio...
