Arctic Breeze 12VDC sleeper cab Truck A/C

I did a search in the forums for Arctic Breeze, hoping to find some previous posts about it, but I couldn't find any, so apologies if this has been discussed before.

Has anybody had any experience with this company and their products?

They apparently make 12v AC units for trucks. They are used in the day cab and sleeper cab so that the driver doesn't have to run the engine for their AC. From my perspective, this looks EXACTLY like what I might be looking for in regards to a low-BTU, low-power AC. They don't list prices on the website, so you have to request a quote. I was hoping somebody else had already ping'd them on it.

I got a response back from my request for a quote. Apparently they are $4700 installed, and weigh 200 lbs.

I like the ideal but hate the price 200# is heavy for such a small A/C

It's also 8000btu. We've got 5000BTU and we already suffer the problem of short cycling. Bigger isn't better in this case. This in addition to a high price and huge weight. Too bad....looked promising for a minute.
