For Simple Low Watt Low Budget PV Systems

There is a new high quality, Made In The USA, charge controller coming soon from MidNite Solar. It is a PWM type not an MPPT. Usable on 12 or 24 volt battery systems. Handles a maximum of 30 watts charge to the battery, or 20 amps if used with the on board 10 amp load control. Built in low voltage disconnect to protect the battery. Four stage charging including equalization. No heat sink, no fan. Weather and insect proof housing; mount it anywhere.

Probably under $100 retail. No hard pricing available at this time.

For some lucky folks there is a beta test program. I'm not sure if there are still openings but the links are still active, so I guess there are still opportunities. Link to info on that.

Don,

I think you meant 30A, not 30W? Midnite Solar builds some great high end controllers, it's about time they came out with something smaller for the RV crowd. Thanks for the links.
