Best way to splice?

Any current guidance besides t-taps and other vampire splicing? Soldering always an option but wondered if there was a new and improved widget out there.

I always solder and heat shrink. Haven't had a failure in 20 years.

I saw these and have Youtubed 'em. Has anyone used them on stranded wire? They look like they are made for solid copper.

Page 17 on WireNut's site says you can use both stranded and solid.

Mine is used with stranded (I rewired all of my running/brake/turn lights)
