I had posted a similar question about the trailer I bought used last year. The turn signals worked better after going to the car wash. Bob was right then, as he is now. It was one ground which had worked loose over time at one of the rear lights. It looked fine, but it wasn't.

On my build I'm using 2 wires for everything and a ground strip to tie it all together. The frame can be an excellent ground, but as long as you're a;ready running one wire to something, a second isn't any more trouble & it's really cheap insurance down the road as things age & bounce around in years to come.
