What type connector is this??

Postby wtcreaux » Tue Jun 30, 2015 8:18 pm

This 12-volt cord is used to power an Engel refrigerator. I am looking for one that has a 90-degree on it at the refrigerator.

133625 133626

Anyone know where I can find one?? This one sticks out too far and rubs on the shelf.

The negative terminal is flat edge, the positive has a rounded edge

Never seen "that" connector before... Possibly proprietary for manufacturer....

Dale,

Thanks for the reply......I was coming to that conclusion after spending hours on-line looking for one. I couldn't even find a picture of one amongst the web's thousands of pics.......

Why not make a notch in the shelf to accommodate the plug.
Cost you nothing and solves the problem.

Danny,

My apologies, I didn't explain well. While the refrigerator is sitting on the shelf, there is no problem. it is when I slide the refrig forward that the plug strikes a weight-bearing support. I have moved the refrig as far to the left as I can to enhance clearance but lacks about ½ "

130229 (without refrig, I will try to get one with after work)

I see two possibilities These guys will have it if any one does http://www.alliedelec.com/search/results.aspx?term=power+cords,right+angel If they do Not have it you can modify the male end in the refrigerator to accept a more conventional cord by cutting off the guide fins. You do however need to maintain the polarity.

I'd just contact engel, chances are one of thier models has it.
The common socket on the other end of engel is a he'll a merit socket witch is a much better connection than a standard cig

It is a NEMA 1-15 power cord.

http://www.stayonline.com/10-amp-cords.aspx has some right angle versions.

They do not all have the round - square format. For an AC connection ( like my camera's battery charger ), this is really irrelevant. No sure about a DC connection.
