AC plug

Postby BubbaJ » Mon Aug 17, 2015 8:03 am

Greetings, I have a TCteardrop that I bought this year and have camped serveral times but have not plugged it in, never needed the air conditioner yet. Do most campgrounds use the standard 3 pronged receptacles, like in a home? Or do the usually have a different receptacle? I'm going camping this weekend and it will be hot so I want to run my air.
Thanks

The norm is to have three receptacles, a 20 amp like the one at home, a 30 amp and a 50 amp. The 30 and 50 each have different patterns and there are adapters to permit plugging in a household type cord (15 or 20 amp). I carry a 30 amp adapter "just in case"

Thanks for the feedback. I'll look for an adapter just in case.
