AGM Batteries, Basics, Charging and More...

Postby mahai217 » Wed May 10, 2017 8:23 pm

I've watched several videos from Australian Direct. They have very informative videos on vehicle/trailer electrical systems.

I contacted them to see if they ship to USA but they do not.

Here is a good video on maintaining and charging AGM batteries:

Here is a comprehensive, dual battery guide (over 1 hour)

Our Morningstar solar controller has an adjustment for an AGM and I called Lifeline (the battery maker) about a Progressive Dynamics PD 4045 and they love it. Therefore there is really no point in a very long and likely very large shipping charge. If you do have a problem they are local.

Thanks, Shadow Catcher. I hear you-- I wasn't really looking to purchase from Australian Direct -- I just noted they don't ship to save others from having to check. I just wanted to highlight their educational videos.

Aussies have a very sophisticated alternative energy market, some very innovative gear.

Their economic system is very well managed as well, little connection to our SNAFU, no recessions at all for over 25 years (!!)

But that makes their prices quite high relative to what's available here in the US. Surprisingly shipping isn't usually a problem, many vendors just don't want US business.
