Jack,
tell us about that battery charger.
I saw one similar at Wally World that was fairly inexpensive.

Details Jack!

Good looking wiring job. I'm not sure I know what it's all doing... but that's okay...

regarding the smart battery charger, I have one. And if your battery is totally dead, it will not charge it back up. You have to get one of those old fashioned gas station battery chargers for that.

So I no longer carry the smart charger in the trailer. I carry one of these...

Walter the charger is the one you saw at Wally World...that is where I got it...about 25 bucks...it is supposedly a 3 stage "smart" charger..we modded it by removing the back half, which was a handle/box combo for the leads, cutting the box on the bandsaw to get the back plate to the charger and mounting it where you see it...afraid I have no pics of the mod process

Hey surveytech, I saw that same model Vector at the Radio Shack my Dad manages for $27 on clearance, plus I would get his employee discount. Do you think I should pick it up? I still havent recieved my 5X8 trailer to start my first TD. I'm still trying to figure out all of this electrical stuff. I will have it set up for 110 and 12. Thanks

Rampage,
Madjack says that it was about 25 bucks at Wally World. How does that compare to your price with the employee discount? I guess it depends on if you want to spend the cash now or later.

where are you located in Florida?

Walter, I think I would get 30% off the $27. I live in the Jacksonville area (NE FL)
