ACDC Distribution Panel Selection

Postby tylerjd » Sat Aug 12, 2017 10:49 am

Hi all,

I'm renovating a cargo trailer (build log in my sig). I purchased most of the solar equipment already, the only major piece I don't have yet is the distribution panel. I'm quite inexperienced with electrical systems, so I'm taking it slow and making sure I understand everything before I start sticking wires in things.

I *think* what will work best for my system is the PD5000. http://www.progressivedyn.com/pd5000_2.html

I know what most folks here use is the 4045, but I have an inverter/charger so that would make the converter in the pd4045 redundant.

Here is my rough draft system diagram. Based no this, does the PD5000 seem the right selection? I'm also open to any general comments about my system - do I have anything obviously incorrect here?

Thanks everyone.

Blue Sea makes great stuff too, marine quality may be overkill here but just for ideas.

They also have a design-your-own custom option.
