Battery size

Postby Kurt (Indiana) » Sat Feb 11, 2006 2:56 pm

I think a lot of trailers use a "car battery" such as a group 24 or deep cycle marine, but I've used a small lawn mower battery in my tear for years. I use a trickle charger and have not run out of power yet. I'm also not running a lot of items from the battery. I run a small TV, cooling fan, phone charger and laptop computer charger, interior lights and galley light, etc.
I know the trickle charger could be replaced by a solar charger (and that could be in the plan) but what sort of 12 volt power and charger units are other people using?

MJ, Well, I guess that topic has been well covered before, Thanks for the links.
I've been thinking of going to a bigger battery to run more 12 v things. This helps.
Thanks,
