You mean without a DC charger or converter right? Yes only coming from the alternator.

What type and size bank, model batts? 150 AH AGM

What gauge wire and what total (round trip) distance? about 26' round trip.

Is the alternator output adjustable? Any idea amps actually getting pulled?
No, though there are such available.
At this point the solar panel does more, and yes they play well together.
