Hello I am looking for information about this.
It is in my popup camper from along time gone manufacturing shop in Canada.

Hopefully, your not planning on using that old "battery boiler". You're battery will thank you if you get a modern 3 stage battery charger.

Yes, that should be recycled or junked. Use a modern multi-stage charging unit. Those oldies are battery killers as Bruce stated. If they don't charge too much and boil the battery they don't charge enough and the battery dies by sulfating. No win anyhow you look at them.

Shoud It still be used for 12v conversion from shoreline power for other projects? Or is it that bad?

If you're into cast iron, I bet that could be used for the heart of a electrolysis tank. Modern "automatic" chargers won't work, but older manual types will.
