After chasing an electrical issue on my vintage Corvette the other day, my loving wife said "maybe you're just a laborer".
I asked her what THAT meant, and, while chuckling, she handed me the following comic that she had cut from Sunday's paper......... http://www.comics.com/wash/pickles/archive/pickles-20060212.html

Ira,
Just one of the many, many reasons that I bought my teardrop. I have NO skills needed to build. But I know right how you feel. I get that feeling when trying to put up Christmas lights. Right when you test them, they all work, and then you put them up, and 1/2 of them don't work anymore. :x

I feel a little better today. (It's gonna be a busy day at work, so maybe that'll take my mind off if it.)

Chip, it's just too much work to tow it from the yard to the house--plus, Coral Springs code enforcement will execute me for that, doing work on it in the driveway.

I guess I'm going to go the battery route--what are my options? I already have a charger, so no expense there. In the event I used their shore power and DID cross wires, and tripped a breaker or blew a fuse, it would be major production to fix.

I thought it wouldn't be THAT big a deal to have it at the boatyard to work on. Yeah, I couldn't get as much done as I would at home, but it's a fairly close drive.

The reality is that it really sucks. And this isn't even taking into account my proximity to my beer supply.

Ira,
could you build and test your circuits at home and then install them?

If I could test accidentally driving a screw into a wire, that would be a possibilty.

But like I said:

IT WAS ALL THAT GRASSHOLE'S FAULT WHO PULLED THE PLUG ON ME!!!

Ira don't go to teardrop gatherings. At least that's what he has said in the past. He doesn't want to run into any of the jerks on this board.

I wish I could remember where he posted that so I could do a quote. Oh, wait a minute. It wasn't Ira, it was his twin brother IraRat. Sorry about that Ira, I'm always getting you two mixed up.

Have a good day.

Okay, mods. We have someone trying to start an argument here.

I am going to be silent right now, but I am stating this for the record.

Ira's evil twin

Postby Guy » Wed Feb 22, 2006 3:20 pm

Dear Gage,

Ira's evil twin was not our Ira, but another member who took a moment to post a truth.

Ira, please do not respond to this.
Regards,

Guy

Maybe you both should read my posting again. And this time read every work. And read what it says. Not trying to start an argument, just poking a little fun. Some day I'm going to get Ira to smile. ;)

With that said, you two have a good day.

How about you both apologize

Postby Guy » Wed Feb 22, 2006 3:48 pm

Dear Gage,

Then how about you both apologize openly to each other for your past insults, both real and imagined. It is very hard for anyone, who has had such harsh words with another, to not keep that in mind and possibly miss a well intentioned joke or jibe.

One of you have to be first - SO WHO IS IT GOING TO BE? Remember resentments such as these are deadly.
Regards,

Guy
