Third stop light

Postby Steve_Cox » Fri Feb 24, 2006 8:51 pm

I have a model A tail light with a tag holder in the center of my hatch. Also will soon have two regular run/stop/turn LED tail lights. I want to wire the stop light in the center. My tow vehicles are already wired for a boat trailer typical 4 wire setup. How do you make the 3rd stop light work? I know Kai took apart an aftermarket 3rd stop light and took out the device that makes it work, can you buy those without buying the whole assembly? Lookin for "easy" answers.

Logic circuit......logical answer... Thanks Steve for the link, you too Leon.

"Logic Circuit for Mini LED Third Brake Light" Think it would work with the incandecent stop lamp? Could alway convert it to LED too!

I installed mine and hooked it up the ultra-cheap way...used two diodes. It does flash with the turn signals hooked up that way, however I feel that just draws more attention from the drivers behind me which is a good thing.
