Battery Charging Using A Cigarette Lighter Adaptor

Anything electric, AC or DC

Postby GeorgeTelford » Sun Mar 26, 2006 7:28 am

Hi

It will work, but its not a good idea, they make poor power connecters.

Those cigarette lighter sockets are not much cop for anything other than cigarette lighters.

Why not buy a proper anderson battery connecter and do it properly?

Max will be dictated by the ciggy lighter fuse, do not consider upping the fuse unless you know what you are doing with fuse and cable ratings.

George is right, Dan. In fact, he's right on! Better a proper connection when it comes to current.

The tension between what is good enough and what is beyond that creates the space for character to become our work.
