All Falk stories, classic now doubt, but reprinted umpteen number of times So whats the big deal? Perhaps Frew should track down some unpublished Fratelli Spada stories and translate them? Or publish
Probably just quicker to burn a CD of the individual wave files directly from the Deeps Make sure the track names make sense You could do a multi-wave file, but individual waves are probably easier

...to start with, this is hard to beat http://www.bestconverter.com/product.as ... 0&catid=63 ...it includes your 120vac and 12vdc distribution systems as well as a 3 stage charger...add an invertor if wanted and you done...

p.s. remember that an inverter takes 12vdc and changes it into 120vac and a converter takes 120vac and changes it into 12vdc

Jack:

Can you give some suggestions on inverters for the novice?
What watt size inverter would you get for say a microwave or a TV at a minimum?

Just trying to get a feel for what you or others would choose as there are many out there on the market? Any manufacturer or is one better than another? Why?

Thanks

Steve, I am not an expert or even a fan of inverters, they are an inefficient way to produce 120vac...
...if you haveta have one, look at the labels on your appliances and add up the wattage you may need...
...if wattage is not listed multiply voltsXamps to get wattage...
...I have a 500watt Vector brand I got from Sam's Club several years ago that I use for a 13"tv and a fan for when we loose electricity around here(often)...
...if you are going to use an inverter to run sensitive electronics(laptops and such) you will want to get one that is rated as "pure sine wave" inverter...

inverters

Postby oklahomajewel » Fri May 19, 2006 3:51 pm

By the way, someone here at my workplace is selling a Cobra 1500w inverter for about $70 bucks... says he hasn't used it much.
would that be a good one to keep in the tear?

I've wondered about having an inverter, trickle charger, or solar charger or just doing the traditional camping routine and "roughing it"

PS><>>> For the list, Jason, you might want to add a couple of 12v sockets in the cabin to plug in a small 12v fan, or your cell phone charger, etc.

I read in the "12volt side of life" commentary that the 12v microwaves and blenders etc are not much good.
