I think thats the best idea yet... Put a vinyl curtain on the inside so no water comes into you camper... Lots of privacy and you can get dressed inside... :applause:

Dirty Camper

Postby gerry boucher » Sun Mar 11, 2007 6:29 pm

I'm curious,
Whatever did Lynn do?
Did she buy or build?
Did her friend enjoy her camping experience?

I have read this entire thread and been on the edge of my seat.

What Happened?
The suspense is killing me.

Such a riveting story. Sure beats TV

Yah... I have to agree, that having longer hair quickly gets yucky if you can't get it clean... I've done a bit of backpacking though, and found that I get good results with a simple-'ole "solar shower" The big one is REALLY NICE at a base camp... just set it up on a rock in the morning with ice-cold glacier water... go do your hiking/climbing/whatever... and by the time you get home in the afternoon, voila you have a hot shower waiting for you.... Works GREAT.

They have all different sizes... but I'd get the biggest, since you're car camping. Only trouble is figuring out a way to hang it.

Stearn's Sun Shower at REI

You would not believe how good this feels after a long day playing out in the woods.

Have fun.

Amy I used my version of a solar shower backpacking and sometimes cannot find a good place to hang it, so I put a heavy weight on top of it and it sprays out just fine. Since I walk until the sun starts going down I heat about 1 quart of water to almost boiling and add two quarts of cold and I get a warm to very warm shower.
