Camp Stove

Postby Jst83 » Sat Jan 27, 2007 11:43 am

Found this stove from Harbor Freight $59

Has an oven 2 burners and a griddle. I like the looks of it from the picture but I hate buying anything without seeing it.

Image

Has anyone purchased this or seen one in person?
Any thoughts on this product would be helpful

Thanks, Scott

Scott,
I bought one of those from HF a few years ago, I've not had any problems with it yet. One of the recent flyers from HF had it listed for $49 so keep an eye out for a sale price. I purchased mine when the price dropped to $39, haven't seen it that low in quite some time though.

Don't forget to get the hose for it also. It does not come with one.

Scott,
There is a Harbor Freight in the Southern Plaza at East Street and 465. They have that stove on display near the back on the left hand side of the store. When I get to the point of working on my galley, I plan to get one as well. Its not the fanciest or prettiest stove I have ever seen, but it looks very functional for the price you pay.

Tom, I'm sort of working on all areas at once. I'm a very unorthodox builder I'm planning a pull out shelf for the stove. I've got a Coleman camp stove but liked the looks of that one thought I'd better check before I start building the shelf so as to leave room. I'll probably run over there one day this next week.

Thanks Scott

Got down to 31 dollars

Dear Scott,

Kevin is right, they discount that stove all the time. Last March it went down to $39.00 and you could use a 20% coupon with it.

Just got back from looking at the stove in person. I like it  now just to watch it until I can catch a good sale. But at least I have the dimensions so I can build in a spot for it. :D

Postby Sierrajack » Mon Jan 29, 2007 10:34 am

Hey Scott,

Ain't Harbor Freight cool????????? They're opening a store about 15 minutes from me on February 13th - can not wait.....

Anyhow, HF does have the regulator and 5 foot hose for only $12.99 and of course other stoves to boot.

Brats and Beer = Wisconsin Sunday Brunch......

I found all kinds of neat things. I'd never been there before. I looked at the other stoves really like the looks of that one, the griddle in the middle is nice and the oven could be handy. Probably only for toast or begals (it's not real big).

Scott, thanks for the post. I have a question about that stove also.

So, you have to buy a hose and a regulator and it hooks up to a regular old propane tank?

Can it be modified to use with those little green propane bottles??

Thanks

Good question I believe you can. But maybe someone else can answer for sure.
