salvaged grates

Boy this conversation sure brought back some memories. Several years ago, right after our oldest son learned how to weld, he wanted to put some 'legs' on a cooking grate that he and his friends used when 'camping out' in the back yard. My hubby told him to just use something he found in the junk pile. A few days later, our mechanic couldn't find some parts that came from our drilling rig that he was repairing.

Yep.....Jacob had used them as 'legs'. You know how expensive anything is that has something to do with the oil business. Those 'legs' cost close to $400.00 to replace.

That cooking grate is still being used today. It better be, as much as it's worth. :lol:

I like the toaster option installed in the upper left hand corner of the grate..
