PortaFan

I recently came up with an item that has turned into one of the
most used around camp. ( by ME anyway )

I call it the PortaFan. I know there are many battery operated fans,
but this one retains the usefulness of the original items, plus a new
convenience.

I am one of those people who SWEATS ! ( not perspire ) So, my least
favorite times are setting up camp and breaking camp. I usually wind up
changing clothes immediately thereafter. ( or shower ) :)

So anything that helps during this process is a major plus for me.

While cooling off on the first trip for the Wazat, this occurred to me:

A clip on 12 v fan on a Jump Start battery.

I can set this down anywhere I am working for a bit of cool relief. It runs
for a long time on the JumpStart.

We also use it during meals with the oscillating feature working. Good for
those times of ' no air stirring ' .

Its original use was for a quick power source. The Wazat includes a jump
start connection with its 12V/110V sytem :

So it can still be used for that. Of couse the fan can be plugged in at the
galley for a fixed position.

Then there is the Cooling Station :

At 90 + degrees temp. and 90 % humidity in the South it is HOT !

So, I have this set up for periodic visits to cool off during
set up / break down times. 8)

I like that your fan can be operated on the TD battery as well as the portable power source. I just use a 18 volt Ryobi, cheap if you already have the batteries and charger. But it does not oscilate, so even though it is a larger fan will not cover as much area as the one you have. I like your set up.

I like your Ryobi setup, too. A good dedicated unit....you can never
have too much air around in the summer time. :D

Also, a good excuse to begin a Ryobi collection...which I don't have.
