I got one at Wal-Mart this summer on the way to the beach. It cost around $30.00. I had a grass looking mat one year at the beach and had to chunk it. The sand just would not come out and it. My new mat was great and the sand came right out. Cleaned it with water hose during breaking camp it was dry in about 30 min.

We have the black and white checkered mat. I love it. cleans up nice. not sure which company it came from. The only problem is the paint is chipping off the plastic. Anyone else have this problem?

Several overlapping small mats would seem easier to stow then one big one.

Which would make it easy to make a L shaped mat around back/side

Hadn't recieved it yet; not even a shipping confirmation, so I emailed the Co. They replied:

"We just received an ETA on that shipment and those mats are expected Monday or Tuesday the 28th or 29th.

We've got the boxes made and labels printed. We're just waiting on those mats to arrive. I would expect the mats to be delivered to your door between Jan 5 and Jan. 8."

The other week, I saw some area mats/rugs (maybe 5 x 5) with rubber backing. I thought about getting one to go under my craft table at home to catch any liquid spillage. I think that they would be great for camping too. They were reasonably priced too.

I have signed up for a weaving class in Jan 2010. It is my goal to make my own rugs. Hope it works out like I plan
