Thanks! I got a chuckle out of that, and will have to make a pair! It's one way to not spill the wine when going to a potluck gathering!

I made some awhile back. Let me get a pic to show you....



I added beads in the hollow space where the candle taper would have gone. I make these for people.

Those are nice, but the glasses are missing the matching lids. Got to have the lids!

The lids were sitting next to them. I always keep them on the glasses when storing.

And I didn't use a "Redneck" tutorial to make these. I place my glass/jar on top of the candlestick with the beads/confetti/beans/football/baseball trinkets already in them and make sure the glass/jar is lined up even and that is the way it dries, not upside down. But everyone has their own way of doing it.

My Ball/Mason jars also are sized better to the candlestick. You don't have to drink out of them, you can use them as candleholders and dress up your camping potluck table!

I do use E6000 glue. It's the best!

I have some blue Lexan wine glasses for camping/travel. The stems unscrew and nest into the top.

There are a variety of sizes and shapes, google---lexan wine glasses---not all of them have nesting stems though.

My large glass of choice is a jar from spaghetti sauce. No candle base for me...the redneck comes out once in a while!

Hey Cliff, we have some similar to those and they are not my favorite pair. I think the taste is not as good in those and seem to heat the wine too quickly from my hand holding it . I got us a pair of glasses from Spec's ( a favorite liquor store in the South Texas area) heavy duty plastic and they do fine for camping. Glass for home, plastic for camping. Now the wine....always cheap

Becca, I love the mason jar wineglasses. You could also put different beads/trinkets in each candlestick base so people could tell their glasses apart.

But that wineglass neck strap...if I wore it, I think I'd end up with major wine stains on the front of my shirt.
