I would wire brush sand/grind or use any rust remover you can before Rustoleum

unless you like to remove rust every year :R

Jeeper92,

I was just cruising the site and I too have just tore apart a camper and have this camper frame with a nice torsion axle. I was employed as a Industrial Sales Rep. for the Rustoleum Corp. a few years back. Here is what you do with that rusty frame. Take a wire brush and wire brush off the loose rust, Then take 7769 or 769 Rusty Metal Primer and Brush it on the rust. Leave it set for about a week, then take the grey primer either brush or spray and give it another good coat. Then give it two topcoats not to heavy but good. Trust me it works like a champ.
