Just wonder has anyone used the stub type torflex axles, local store here has 2000 lbs units at 22.5 start angle for $119.99 each. I believe there made by Rockwell.I have looked thru this site and haven,t found any mention of them being used. Thanks Dave

Quite a few builds bases on this type of axle.... You just have not found a build thread.... Try different search criteria when looking....Its possible you are using incorrect product name or description in search...

Try keying in this string in Google for a list of links.

rockwell site:tnttt.com

Here is one for example of the results.

It is a great method to search for links in tnttt.com or any other site for that matter.
Another great tip learned from this forum.

They've been used on this forum. Torflex is Dexter Axles brand name for their torsion axle and they are not a Dexter product so don't use that for a keyboard search.

Hi Dave,
Here is the Rockwell website: http://www.rockwellamerican.com/products
At a quick glance, it looks like their torsion axles are similar to Dexter in that you can order different weight capacities & start angles, ect.
Be careful to match the axle capacity to your loaded trailer weight (i.e. a 1000# trailer with a 2000# axle will ride very rough). And also be aware that the start angle determines your ride height.
In addition, half axles require different frame mounting & alignment considerations than a beam type torsion axle.
Two threads to study: viewtopic.php?f=35&t=14125 &

Good luck with your build & be sure to post pics.
