Hi All,
Using Sketchup 2016 for the first time, I made these plans for the frame of a camper.

The base is a folding 4x8 trailer from harbor freight. I used a web of 2x8's to raise the floor up to widen it from 48" to 62" so I can have a full sized mattress.
I used 2x4's for the frame, 16" on center where possible, including two windows, a door, and a roof vent. I plan to insulate using standard fiberglass batts so I am looking at R13.
This is my first camper, so I am looking for feedback.
Did I overengineer this?
The floor will overhang the wheels by 3-4" on each side. Will this cause any issues?
I have the 1195lb capacity HF trailer. I am planning to pull this with a 3.0L V6 Ford Taurus. Will this be too heavy?
I plan to live in this thing for a year, driving around the country (at least the lower 48). Though I plan to avoid the colder states in winter, I figure the R13 will help during any random cold nights.
Any suggestions?
Thanks in advance,
Rich
