tire size 155/80R13 on NT trailers

Anyone running 155/80R13 on their NT trailers? Want to verify there are no fit issues.

It's just under 1 inch wider so it should fit with.

Is there a better place to purchase wheels and tires from then recstuff.com?

I am running 14" wheels that are 5X4.5 bolt pattern. The important part is the back spacing, on your rims. Shoot for zero offset. You need to plan whether you are going to build over the frame, or sit on top. Over the frame will lesson the space between the tire and the frame. I have also used 1" wheel spacers to move the wheel out for more clearance. I have over 20K trouble free miles on the trailer with spaces.

Yes, this probably just a bit late but just to bring to your attention - 155R80x13 are the size used on 95 - 01 Geo Metro/Suzuki Swifts and I buy them at W-M for mine (have had 7 of them since 1987 - so far-). W-M 'Douglas' brand $37 each (made in USA by Goodyear-load rating of 79S = 960 lbs each at 36 PSI)) and yes, I also use this same brand of tire on my teardrop. 205R75x14's ($53 each-load rating of 95S = 1520 lbs each at 36 PSI) (and both of these tires are S speed rated, which is a 112 mph max speed rating) and yes, they ride SO MUCH better than the ST trailer spec'ed tires that I got rid of - which are NOT needed on a teardrop!! These tires last almost 50 thou miles each on my 'driver' and this is with 'front wheel drive' which I feel is the 'hardest' vehicle out there for tire wear!!! (my opinion)

I upgraded my NT trailer to 175/70R13 passenger car tires and it made a world of difference in the ride. Still had about an inch of clearance to the frame. Got the tires from Amazon (General AltiMax) and the white spoker wheels with zero offset on Ebay. My build was between the rails so I had no height problem but I did raise my fenders slightly just to be on the safe side. I also had to add a spacer to widen the fender because of the added width of the tires.

and I also see the you are one (like me) that use's a cover for the roof vent !! Am asked all the time about mine, but hardly ever see anyone else use one. I love the fact that I can leave the vent open even when it's raining or just stored - they work great!! Have been told it looks odd - but after having one on since 13, I think they look just fine and besides, the functionality of it just plain out-weighs the looks!!!!

I used the Ultra Breeze on my weekender because it blended with the angular lines of the design. I also used it on my hard wall pop up project (see avatar) because it was low enough to remove easily when I didn't need it. I don't plan to use it on my retro pop up since it sits too high and does not go with the retro design. Guess I'll just have to avoid rainy days.
