I don't - it sounds perfectly workable to me.

You might want to work out a way to seal the unused bolt holes, including the ones hidden by the axle brackets, to avoid too much corrosion inside your frame.

I plan to mount the axle with the bracket, both bolted to the frame and welded to the frame. After I complete the build, I will adjust the axle for tongue weight and then seal the unused holes with silicon. This should seal the tubing against moisture, but still let me use the holes if I need them in the future.
