Play with some floor plans. You'll probably find one you love and then just hillbilly-it-up. You'll know soon enough if it'll work or not. Most likely, the wife will tell you. I'm thinking lower level fold-out/down couch with loft overhead and a stand up kitchen open to the back. Not a bad deal
