To rubber mount or not to rubber mount, that is the question

Postby Tony » Fri Mar 17, 2006 9:13 pm

Can anyone tell me if you put your body of the trailer on the frame or do you use some sort of rubber mount or grommet between the body and frame. I read a thread about someone that had a trailer that started to slide off a frame. I thought it was due to a rubber mount, but I could not find that thread to see what had happened. Any ideas or thoughts will be appreciated.

Thanks,
Tony

Don't really know the yea or neigh about this question. But look at it this way. A rubber mount is used to cushion steel to steel. You'll be applying wood to steel. Wood also acts as a cushioning matl. So why would you also want to add rubber. Note, your teardrop is going to shake, vibrate and bounce around because of to heavy of springs and or hard tires. That's the way I see it, but could be totally wrong.

Have a good day.
