NON Fisheye Shots Of the Kasperwing Project

By popular demand here is a link to non fisheye shots of the tiny travel trailer

http://www.kasperwing.com/No%20Fisheye.htm

I have the hitch mount on and was able to tow the trailer around the yard over some bumps. The leaf springs did not bottom out.

Chris

Thanks. That should make it easier to answer your questions. :applause:

Chris,
It doesn't look like it's possible for the u-bolts to contact the frame, they are outside of the frame rails.

Ahhh, much better straight lines are straight.

Now it obvious that the bolts won't hit. The springs do look flat though. I guess you'll be fixing that soon.

That particular spring generally doesn't have a real deep arch but it does seem like the tail pieces hang down quite a bit more than normal so they may have had a deeper arch originally. I would do two things, 1- Check the leafs very close between the u-bolt, right where the pinch bolt goes up thru the spring for cracks, if you don't find any go to step 2. Second thing is get it weighed, if it's under 2k lbs leave 'em be, those are 1500 or 1750lb (ea) springs, you'll have plenty of spring anyway.
