licence plate light

Postby Finntec » Mon Jun 26, 2006 1:15 pm

Anyone know how to add a licence plate light ? I have a tractor suppy trailer. It has two wires on each side. Which wires should I tap into to make a run up through the galley to the licence plate?

The most problematic thing of this build seems to be the plate, not the galley. Lost one, second one almost fell off, third time the bracket bent back due to the wind's downforce.

Run to the brown (tail light, either side) and white, or frame (ground) That's it!
Are you going with the unit Grant sells?
See you in a few weeks!

Thanks Steve. I was going to use the Brown wire and another to ground to the frame, but I was not sure. Better to ask, then make a mistake. I have looked for Grant's lights but could not find them. Would you send me a link. I have a bracket from George, and have looked at the local autoparts store for lights. I want to wire it by tomorrow. -Ray
