Any more details on the dimensions of the various bits? I'm thinking of the thickness of those 1-3/4 x 1-3/4 and 2 x 2 angles (assuming they're angles, not tube).
I can't work out what's going on at the axle with those two 2 x 2.
Here is a photo - I think this is an exact replica of a Kenskill frame from the Teardrop Fix-It Shop
The tabs are 1.5 x 1.5 x .1875. The front and rear angles are 1.75 x 1.75 x .1875. At the axle, the forward 2" member is 2.00 x 2.00 x .1875 angle. The rear 2" member is 2.00 x 2.00 x .1875 tube. The two 2" members are part of the suspension set up. I can't explain because I have never seen one and didn't ask because I was not going to use it. If you look at the pictures you will see how it works. The gentleman who shared the dimentional information with me and has pics of an original frame are here. http://hometown.aol.com/bpfrank/homepage/Tear1.htm He rebuilt his suspension and is using it. This is a 1946 trailer. George is running a newer axle.
Thanks, Rodger, that's good info to go in the files.
For anyone that is confused reading this, here is the photo Rodger pointed to:
So the front 2" tube is supporting the pivot of the trailing arms (on the right of the photo) and the rear 2" tube is supporting the seat for the springs (on the left of the photo).
