Mike and all:

I have access to Solid Edge, both 7 and the new 9.x from work and understand it is a really good app??

Any comments, pro/con??

Thanks,

Chuck,

I am not familar with solid edge. We use UGNX at work.

But since you have it, how easy is it to use?

Last time I wanted to compare second tier CAD programs I went to a web site that had models available for download. I searched by type of model...

Solid edge had a few
Inventor had a few
Ironcad had a few
Solidworks had a whole bunch...

Therefore I concluded that Solidworks was more popular!

Not to be confused with the big guys...
UGNX/IDEAS
CATIA
PRO-E

Mike...
The quality is remembered long after the price is forgotten, so build your teardrop with the best materials...

Well, I have it, but not installed it yet.....

I figure if the engineering kids can use it, then ..... :worship: I can!

From reading this topic, I do not see a clear "winner", but those you listed keep popping up and I guess whatever is easiest for me and does what I want will be good.

Thanks for your feedback!!
