McCarthy Road

Road Report....

I just went out the McCarthy Road this week for work. (For those on the outside, that is a 60 mile long nasty, nasty road leading to the Wranglle-St. Elias National Park and the Kennecott Mine). Anyway, a year ago, I wouldn't take my car on that road..but DOT has put about $2 mill into gravel and brushing this summer....It is way, way, way better than I have ever seen that road before.

If you have ever considered going up there, but were concerned that you would need Sheman Tank to get through...now is the time!!! It was a maintenance job...so it may not last over the winter...Juneaudave
