Hello all,
We are tentatively planing on a trip up to Prince Of Wales Island around 1st of September and looking for information, suggestions and ideas. The National Park website lists several camping areas, with and with out power, water, showers, etc. Can anyone recommend a specific site or area? A private RV / campground is not out of the question either. Any thoughts on how crowded it might be in September?
We live in Bellingham, Wa, 30 min from the border, are thinking about driving up and back, but will have take a ferry over to the island from Prince Rupert, Canada. Of course with the cost of gas maybe the ferry out of Bellingham the whole way is the best option to get there.

Thanks in advance for any help, Cheers!
Ron

Hello Ron
since you asked I suggest. Taking the Alaska ferry from Bellingham 1 way to Ketchikan AK Use this Calender to see what ferry leaves bellingham and when

https://www.dot.state.ak.us/oars/reservations/CalendarFM.amhsf
there you will take the Prince of wales ferry over to the Island

http://www.interislandferry.com/

then when it is time to go home take a alaska ferry from Ketchikan to Prince rupert and drive thru canada back to bellingham a beautiful drive.

good luck
