By the way, Fred, thanks for all the links. Something like that takes a lot of time to compile. Just hope I can make it up there some day.

You're welcome Chris. And thank you for recognizing the effort! :)
And I will say to you or anyone else that I would be glad to add any more links that you like or believe of help.
BTW - I did notice that one link in your previous post was already on the list. ( www.explorenorth.com )
Maybe you could call your vacation to AK a business trip. Bring home some Birch and Diamond Willow for your furniture!

Great job on the links Fred.....I know I'd love to have a load of Diamond Willow for some rustic furniture....I used to get a lot of it up near Talkeetna...saved it up for projects, but dad burned it all in the fireplace....I guess I should have hauled it all away when I left....I also had a lot of the huge burls that you get on the scrawny spruce...alas, it's gone also..  doug

Well to start, that is quite an aray of things about Alaska. :applause: :applause: I spent about two weeks, off and on, the year before I went, looking up things to see and places to go. Have been there four times and in 2010, am going again. Really love that State and anyone who hasen't been there and wants to go, should take about two months and hop in their auto, hitch up their tear, and go for it. They, as far as I know, won't be unhappy with the trip. Like I mentioned, I have been there four times, and this next time I am going to go when the places I like to have seen the first times, are open. Went in April the first two times and found that the good tours don't even open till the end of June to the first part of July. Should have spent one more day looking at time tables. Next time will start out around the last part of May and head up to Dawson City and then over the hill to Chicken. Might just go up to Eagle, but that road might still be under snow.
Well enough for now, and thank again for the really hard work in getting all those web sights. :thumbs up1:
