New from South Carolina

Postby SkipperSue » Sat Sep 23, 2006 6:54 am

Hello everyone,
I don't have a teardrop yet but I hope to soon change that. I never even heard of a teardrop till a friend of mine gave me an old 1970 Airstream trailer. While at a battery store getting a deep cycle the salesman asked me if I had heard of teardrop trailers, told me to do a search. I fell in love with them, also I don't even have a tow vehicle for the 21 foot Airstream. I wish I could just go out and buy a teardrop but the ones I have seen that I like are a bit pricey for me now. I just saw my first real teardrop down at Hunting Island camp ground a week ago, made by Camp Inn, it was very nice! I'm thinking about makeing one kind of like it.

Well that's cool!! :D

Chip and Skip :applause:

I live up beside Table Rock state park, right next to the Wesliayn camp.
I had no idea there would be someone with a TD so close to me. I did a little work on the Airstream this morning, the water pump won't pump anymore for some strange reason. I'm just going to use it as a cabin behind the house. It was a major undertaking just to back that monster back there! I can't see myself trying to take that thing on any long trip. The Teardrops on the other hand look like they'd be not much of a problem at all to tow, or back up. :)
I'd love to see your TD some time, seeing things for real is allways alot better than pictures. The Camp Inn model I saw at the beach really turned my attention away from the big trailers for sure! Looking forward to learning all I can and hopefully getting started on my Teardrop soon.

Thanks, Skip

Don't worry Steve, I'm hooked on Teardrops for sure!

Now the Crown and pickle juice  , that's gotta be a TD thing.
I don't think I'd like it as a mixed drink but as a chaser
that might work! I've been a home brewer for about 30 years or so, actually need to bottle this last batch sometime today.

It's NOT a TD thing! It's only a CHIP thing!

Welcome to the board.

Chip's a great guy, except for his beverage preferences. And watch out for Dean--he makes pizzas in a dutch oven (DO) and actually puts MAYONNAISE on them!
Here we go again!
