Postby Eddielbs » Sun Mar 09, 2008 4:38 pm

I have a lovely understanding wife named Anna, and Two dogs Gracie 3year old Lab and Puzzles 8year old Rat Terrier. I have been lurking around reading for a few weeks now, and see that the forum is filled with friendly and informative people.
I cant wait to get stated building so everyone can solve the giant mountain of questions I know I'm going to have.('') I hope to build a really nice tear while making new friends in the process.

Welcome to the forum Eddie, You are in Madjack's part of the woods. We have a few from LA on here and we have a huge party in north LA every October Just look for LCG in the south central section.

Hi Eddie, Anna and Canine Family,

Welcome to the forum. O.K. I am curious, or maybe just dumb, but what does a cementer in the oilfield do? I've got my own ideas, but just wondering if I'm right. As far as building, to get some ideas, just check out the "Hall of Fame" in the upper left of each page. This will let you see what others have built. But most important of all, be sure and post lots of :pictures: :pictures: :pictures: of your build as you proceed.

See you around.

Image to the playground Anna and Eddie.

Happy to hear about the camera   So if you have looked around you know to keep the bubble oil level and to make lots of sawdust. You also know you can't make just one......Right?

Enjoy ;)

Mike,
I can just see your vision of what a "Cementer" looks like, with the big hip high rubber boots and a big shop broom wading around in concrete trying to get it level.. (':R') But in fact its nothing like that. We work in the construction aspect of high pressure oil and gas wells... The drilling companies dig the hole and hang a piece of pipe into it...Thats when I come in and fill the hole behind the pipe with cement to provide Zonal isolation... to make a long story short... I have been to school to learn a lot of things about cement that are of absolutely no use in my everyday life... ('')
Besides for years when I heard the word cementer I saw the same thing... and to tell you the truth I'm not sure "Cementer" would have been a hit at career day in school(';)') So we are called service supervisors now.

Welcome Eddie and Anna! I was born and raised in South Louisiana, a very teeny town called White Castle. Where are you in Louisiana? Like Sonetpro said you should try and attend the LCG in October. It's held at Lake Bistineau up North. I have never attended one, yet, but from what I've heard, it is a great gathering. You don't have to have a Teardrop to attend and you can get lots of great ideas from seeing all the Tear's there. I can't say enough good things about the people on the forum...they are honestly the best.

Again, welcome.

Wellcome, Eddie and Anna.
I'm just north of you in West Monroe. I just started my build. So far I have the chassis about finished. Mounted my alxe and wheels today.
The people on this forum are great :applause: . If you need answers, theres always someone here to help. Good to see a fellow canoer also.
Thats what got me to looking at this forum, after searching for a canoe trailer. Need anything just holler.
