Getting Ready to Build in Portland

Postby Swissters » Thu Sep 24, 2020 10:54 pm

Hey people. I've been scanning these forums for a couple months now getting my head wrapped around how I'm going to build my trailer. I'm very impressed with the vast amount of knowledge in this forum and I can't wait to pick your brains! Here is a little teaser of the design I'm working on right now.

Here are my main goals:
1. Build a Standy with minimum 5' 8" height
2. Keep build weight under 1500 lbs
3. Include shower and toilet inside
4. Keep the build cost under $4000

So far I think I'm on track. Let me know what you all think!

Welcome, what kind of construction do you plan on using? Four thousand from scratch, no trailer or parts seems tight maybe

I just posted some more info over on the Canned Ham forum. http://www.tnttt.com/viewtopic.php?f=53&t=73103&p=1268621#p1268621

I have a spreadsheet with costs that I've figured out, but I'm sure my budget will balloon.

Lol. Left coast. Don’t worry, we’re not on fire or under siege like you may have seen. It’s a peaceful sunny day out here at the moment.

Thanks for the recommendation. I’ll look them up. Hopefully I can start building this sometime in late November/December.

'left' coast for me also, about 200 miles north of you - and yes, the smoke has 'finally' cleared out of here also after almost 2 weeks of being socked in - I have Whidbey Island about 2 miles west of me across the water and was unable to see any of it! Take care
