Hi all, newbie from the Denver area. I have been lurking for a couple months; I love the board, it's a great resource.

I have been using a Coleman pop up that I bought 15 years ago after my second daughter was born. I expect her to head off to college in a couple of years (the first is going this year) and my wife and I need something for just the two of us. All the commercial builds I have seen are just not quite right; either they are too heavy, don't have all what we need, have more than what we want, or they are just too small. Also, I really need a hobby as I spend way too much time working and need to figure out a way to slowly transition into retirement (about 10 years away). I have been working on a design for a couple of weeks and hope to start building this summer though I don't think I will finish for at least a year if not two (again, I work way too much). Once I have the design I will be sure to post it...

Welcome. Enjoy the journey. If you're like a lot of us you'll enjoy the build so much you will want to build another. It's a fantastic "waste" of time!

Welcome to the forum.

Knowing what you want and need helps a lot on designing a build. Do a lot of reading here. There are many different designs and build types to look threw.

BTW we like pictures no matter what you design build.
