New to Teardrop and the Forum

Postby bruceletsl00se » Thu Aug 17, 2023 12:02 am

Good evening everyone,

Brand new to teardrops. My wife and I are interested in pursuing one, and I'm excited that I found this forum.

I was looking at purchasing a teardrop, but they're so expensive. Was looking at either purchasing a used one or trying my hand at building one and the resources I've perused so far on this forum have been great.

Looking forward to learning from everyone and getting involved in the community.

Welcome!
What is your camping experience?
If you have a garage, and a few tools, I recommend building one!
Its the best way to take twice as long, and cost twice as much to get EXACTLY what you want!
You can tailor the design to the gear you already have, make it as comfortable as you want, and you don't inherit and hidden "issues'!

Highly recommend you find a gathering in your area and check out all the teardrops there. Folks are always happy to share their trailers. Its a great way to get involved in the community! You can find gatherings here, or over at Tearjerkers.net.

I would second finding a gathering near you and checking all of the campers out and chatting about the process. Building is very fun and rewarding. I would have never purchased but building was epic.
